Turning Bershama’s Streaming Premiere into a Nationwide TikTok Moment

Yango Play, an all-in-one entertainment platform for movies, series, live TV, music, and anime across MENA, set out to promote the exclusive streaming release of Bershama, the second-highest-grossing film in Egyptian history.
Launching during the busy Eid entertainment period, Yango Play wanted the release to feel like a major entertainment event across Egypt. To do this, the brand combined proven ad formats like In-Feed Ads and TopView with two new solutions built to drive mass awareness, tell a stronger story, and spark authentic creator recommendations.
The campaign unfolded in three stages. First, Yango Play used TopView and In-Feed Ads to introduce Bershama to a large audience and build visibility during launch.
Next, the brand strengthened its TopView activation with Prime Time, becoming the first brand in Egypt to test the format, which lets brands show up to three sequential videos to the same audience within 15 minutes. Working with regional creator Amina Hussein (2M+ followers).
Finally, Yango Play became the first brand in Egypt to activate Branded Buzz, inviting the wider creator community to share what they enjoyed about watching Bershama on Yango Play. The open brief let creators talk about the movie in their own style while staying on-campaign. In total, 1,419 Egyptian creators took part.
Prime Time generated 5.8 million impressions and reached an audience of 2.2 million in Egypt, with 80% of that audience seeing all three videos start to finish. The format also drove an 8% relative increase in intent. Branded Buzz then extended the campaign through 1,419 creators, generating millions of organic views and 1.5 million likes, without paid promotion.
By becoming the first brand in Egypt to use both Prime Time and Branded Buzz, Yango Play turned a content launch into something audiences actively noticed, discussed, and wanted to watch.
TikTok continues to surprise us with innovative ad solutions that open up new ways for brands to connect with audiences. Prime Time is a great example, it allows us to tell a story through sequential videos within the same viewing experience, creating stronger narratives, deeper engagement and ultimately greater impact.
